Therapeutic Strategies for Large Protein Coding Genes in Usher Syndrome
The Usher 1F Collaborative is sponsoring an international scientific symposium entitled, "Therapeutic Strategies for Large Protein Coding Genes in Usher Syndrome," which will be held as a virtual meeting on May 13-14, 2021. There will be no charge for meeting registration.
The goal of this meeting is to bring together investigators whose areas of research focus on Usher Syndrome, as well as others working on the development of scientific approaches and tools relevant to deciphering disease mechanisms and generating disease models relevant to therapeutic interventions.
While this will be a scientific research conference, it is also open to all Usher Syndrome families. All sessions will be close captioned, and two sessions that are of particular interest to patients will include ASL interpreting.
The Usher 1F Collaborative is a member of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) "Rare As One" network and works in collaboration with Foundation Fighting Blindness, the Usher Syndrome Coalition, and the Usher Syndrome Society. We thank CZI for providing funding to support this meeting.
